Men answer please... Why would he stand me up twice?

I talked to this guy almost 4 weeks. I thought he was great. I met him on yahoo personals. He called me about 4-5 times a day. When he woke up, when he had a break, lunch, when he got home. He text me. I miss you. wish you were here ..... all that crap. We laghed together, everything was fine. I went to meet him the first time he said he had an emergancy with his kids mother and his cell died. He called the same night about 10;30. And apologized. This time he swore up and down he wouldn't fake. First he had to do a hour over time then he was going to call me as soon as he got off. I was going to go to his house and he would take a shower and we would go to dinner. He never called after work. he won't answer the phone and won't call me back. I'm done with him. But I guess only he know why he would do this. Do you? I never got to meet him face to face but I did cry. It hurts.
