How fast can Ick show up on a new goldfish?
Those "big name" fish stores, thankfully, will refund your money on any fish from their store that dies for like a month or something after you bought it. I'm not sure how long, but they do. Anyway, this whole recurrence thing is baffling. I can't believe that ick can hang on with all of this cleaning and cycling you're doing. And to have an otherwise unaffected fish get ick only 2 hours after you put her in..... there's something strange with things. Unless this newest fish came from the store with ick or any other disease, and I would think you would've seen it, it just simply doesn't show up out of nowhere this fast. Forgive me for questioning you, I'm sorry, but I have to ask, are you sure you know what ick is? Anyway, if it is ick, if you treat it and continuing treating the fish, you should be able to get rid of it. You just have to be vigilant with your treatment. Also, please don't ever use bleach or soap or anything on your tank. You can never rinse it well enough to get it all off.
