Bearded Dragon Heating and Lighting?

I'm planning on getting a bearded dragon pretty soon so I'm doing some research. However, I'm still not quite clear about the heating aspect. So is it ok to have a fluorescent 10.0 UVB/UVA lighting fixture that goes across the top of the terrarium? and also is it ok to have a single ceramic heat emitter on one of the ends of the terrarium with perhaps a UTH and nothing on the other side to create a heat gradient?
