Are my female rats fighting or playing?

I have not personally witnessed my rats playing with each other. It kind of sounds like they are working out dominance issues. Look them over closely for injuries. If they have only been in their habitat for a few days, giving them time to adjust will help. If they are not severely hurting each other I wouldn't bother worrying. If you find injuries you may have to consider separating them.
