Some states have legal aid type programs which may be of help...with regard to the cost, only that particular attorney can tell you. Your local social services department should be of some istance but try contacting the office where he is located and see if you can get anywhere. Also, contact his employer...talk to his supervisor. Sorry you're going through this...mine doesn't pay anything...I'd be pretty happy with half in all honesty, but I completely understand what you're saying.
